Kein Netzwerkzugriff

Die App ist ohne die Berechtigung für ausgehende Netzwerkverbindungen ausgeliefert. Sie kann technisch keine Verbindung ins Internet aufbauen — weder zu uns noch zu Dritten. Es gibt kein Benutzerkonto, keine Anmeldung, keine Synchronisierung, keine Analyse- oder Absturzberichte und keine Werbe- oder Tracking-Bibliotheken.

Das lässt sich am ausgelieferten Programm nachprüfen: Der Befehl «codesign -d --entitlements - /Programme/Bubo.app» zeigt die vergebenen Berechtigungen. Eine Berechtigung für Netzwerkverbindungen ist nicht darunter.

Was auf Ihrem Mac gespeichert wird

• Merkzettel, die Sie an die Eule hängen
• Pomodoro-Voreinstellung und ob ein Timer läuft
• Ob die Eule auf dem Schreibtisch sitzt, und ihre Position
• Aussehen (Gefieder) und ob Ton an ist
• Ob die App beim Anmelden starten soll
• Listen von Arbeits- und Surf-Domains, die Sie selbst pflegen

Alles liegt in den Einstellungen und Dateien im Container der App und wird mit der App entfernt. Nichts davon wird übertragen, nicht ausgewertet und nicht an Dritte weitergegeben.

Kalender, Mail, Browser, Fokus

Bubo liest den nächsten Kalendereintrag nur, wenn Sie den Kalenderzugriff erlauben — Titel und Zeit, nichts sonst. Mail liefert nur die Anzahl ungelesener Nachrichten, nie Betreff oder Inhalt. Der Browser liefert nur die Domain des vorderen Tabs, nie den Seiteninhalt. Fokus-Status sagt nur, ob ein Fokus aktiv ist.

Jeden dieser Zugriffe können Sie beim ersten Start überspringen. Die App funktioniert dann weiter, nur ohne diese eine Angabe.

Sprüche auf dem Gerät

Gelegentliche Sätze entstehen mit Apple Intelligence auf Ihrem Mac, sofern verfügbar. Es wird kein Text an uns geschickt. Ohne das Modell bleiben vorbereitete Sätze.

Was Bubo bewusst nicht speichert

Keine Mail-Inhalte, keine Seiteninhalte, keine Zwischenablage-Inhalte (nur die Art: leer, Text, Link, Bild). Keine Tastatureingaben, keine Bildschirmaufnahmen.

Löschen

Notizen löschen Sie in der App. Wird die App deinstalliert, verschwindet mit dem Container unter «~/Library/Containers/de.matt.klammer/» auch der gesamte Stand.

Der Kauf

Bubo ist ein einmaliger Kauf über den Mac App Store. Die Zahlung wickelt Apple ab, nicht die App — Bubo sieht weder Ihren Namen noch Ihre Zahlungsdaten. Es gibt kein Abonnement. Für die Zahlung gilt die Datenschutzerklärung von Apple.

No network access

The app ships without the entitlement for outgoing network connections. It cannot technically open a connection to the internet — neither to us nor to third parties. There is no account, no sign-in, no synchronisation, no analytics or crash reporting, and no advertising or tracking libraries.

This is verifiable on the shipped binary: running «codesign -d --entitlements - /Applications/Bubo.app» lists the granted entitlements. A network entitlement is not among them.

What is stored on your Mac

• Notes you pin to the owl
• Pomodoro preset and whether a timer is running
• Whether the owl sits on the desk, and its position
• Look (plumage) and whether sound is on
• Whether the app should open at login
• Work and surf domain lists you maintain yourself

All of it lives in preferences and files inside the app container and is removed with the app. None of it is transmitted, analysed or given to third parties.

Calendar, Mail, browser, Focus

Bubo reads the next calendar event only if you allow calendar access — title and time, nothing else. Mail provides only the unread count, never subject or body. The browser provides only the domain of the front tab, never the page. Focus status only says whether a Focus is on.

You can skip each of these on first launch. The app still works, just without that one fact.

On-device lines

Occasional sentences are produced with Apple Intelligence on your Mac, when available. No text is sent to us. Without the model, prepared lines remain.

What Bubo deliberately does not store

No mail contents, no page contents, no clipboard contents (only the kind: empty, text, link, image). No keystrokes, no screen captures.

Deletion

Delete notes inside the app. Uninstalling the app removes the container at «~/Library/Containers/de.matt.klammer/» and with it the entire state.

The purchase

Bubo is a one-time purchase through the Mac App Store. Apple handles the payment, not the app — Bubo sees neither your name nor your payment details. There is no subscription. Apple’s privacy policy applies to the payment.
